Tacos and margaritas
The Port Taco Truck + Cantina brings Washington state its first ever year-round taco truck experience. No matter what time of year it is, leave the umbrellas at home and visit us for great authentic street tacos, burritos, street corn & much, much more. This indoor taco truck is located at 2521 Marvin Rd NE but will not be spotted on the street. Conveniently parked indoors, next to a full bar with the best spirits, craft cocktails, beer & wine – it is the best place to hit up happy hour. Not to mention, the bathrooms are only steps away. During those few summer months that the PNW gets, enjoy our fully functional patio and relax next to our fire tables with friends, family, kids and or dogs!
This idea came from wanting to offer the kind of authentic street food you can only find at your local food trucks yet having some beer or margaritas so close you did not have to move. The building was built entirely around the truck – making it a permanent fixture to cater to those Washingtonians craving an authentic taco truck experience with the comfort of tableside service and best of all its located inside.
Some may wonder “why is this truck named The Port?” To the owner, this question is a joy to answer. Third generation restauranteur, Ana Maria, learned everything she knows about the industry from her family’s chain of Mexican restaurants, popular in the south sound - Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurants. Their chain began with their opening of their first location in 1985 by her grandparents, Ana Maria & Clemente Andrade. Their five children followed suit and opened 15+ more locations. The customers that would patron one of her parent’s restaurants, nicknamed that Puerto Vallarta location “The Port.” This is where the name originated – she wanted to keep a little piece of the name, while offering a dining experience entirely different from what her family had done.
The Ports executive chef, Fausto Nava worked for the PV family for more than 25 years. His family too, was well versed in authentic food – his family owned food trucks. With his and her knowledge put together – The Port Taco Truck + Cantina was born. When you step into our location, we want you to know we are proud to welcome you to our establishment. Our mission is to show you the love we have for what we do. We do this through our food, drinks & atmosphere. Here, we whole heartedly believe great food is what keeps you, the customer, coming back. We don’t take this for granted & strive to serve you the best quality of food and service every time. We want you to feel catered to by our staff every second you choose to dine with us.
